Our goal for the photoshoot
Tricia already has a beautiful website and thriving business. Her photos are outdated though so she really wanted a full refresh on images both on her website and also to be used in her social media accounts. She opted for a natural light studio, one that I use regularly. It meant she could turn up, have her makeup done at the studio and then had full access to a gorgeous, light filled neutral studio.
Tell me in a nutshell what youdo
I'm a life coach working with professional women manage their time, stop overworking and still feel successful without sacrificing their careers or well-being.
Why did you hire Britt to take your portraits?
Because I loved the aesthetics of her gallery photos on her website and thought she could help me up level my personal brand.
Did you hire a studio and was it worth the extra cost?
I did - I think it was because I didn't have to worry about the venue conditions, whether the lighting would be good or not, whether it was going to be the "right" impressions or not. Originally I did think about having the shoot done at our house but I'm so happy that I picked the studio for the sheer ease and making it a hassle free day.
Were you nervous about your photoshoot? How did you feel on the day?
A little self-conscious because all of the focus was on me for the day which was different and so felt a little uncomfortable.
What helped you prepare for the shoot?
Britt's PDF about how to prepare, what to bring, talking to her prior to the session because she helped allay my concerns about how awkward this could be.
Did your photos live up to your expectations?
Yes and more - they surpassed my expectations!
Do you have any feedback about your experience?
I cannot recommend Britt and her team enough. I intend recommending her to all my friends and colleagues. My husband has also decided that his business needs a brand update after seeing mine so he will be booking in with Britt very soon!
What is one tip you would give someone starting a new business?
Get comfortable making decisions. When you are first starting there are lots of big and little decisions to be made so the sooner you can learn how to make decisions, the better! Knowing how to make decisions can be a super power in your business.
