Tell me in a nutshell what you do?
I am a Squarespace website designer for soulful and intuitive women so they can have a website that reflects their values without the overwhelm. I'm based in Brisbane but work with women Australia-wide.
Why did you hire Britt for your personal brand portraits?
Because I love your photography style - it's modern and bright, and all the photos posted look amazing.
How did you feel on the day of the photoshoot? Were you nervous?
Yes! I've never had a branding shoot before so I wasn't sure I'd know what to do. I just made sure I prepared beforehand so I knew the kinds of shots I was after, and on the day Britt and Kate Hammond (personal stylist) were fantastic with suggestions on poses and making me laugh (always good to have a reminder to get rid of the bitchy resting face!!)
What helped you prepare for the photoshoot?
Preparing outfit ideas with a stylist's help, brainstorming shot ideas and writing a checklist of the props I was taking so I didn't forget any.
Did your photos live up to your expectations?
Yes!! Absolutely, the photos are amazing, and so many too. I updated my website within about 5 minutes of receiving them because I was so excited - it makes such a difference having professional photos on your site.
Any tips you would like to share?
Don't underestimate the power of professional photos on your website. If I could go back to when I first started my business I would prioritise at least a handful of headshots to get started for two reasons: 1. You look a lot more legit with proper photos than you do with cropped group photos or trying to coach your loving friends and family to get the photo you want), and 2. It's a massive confidence booster, and who doesn't want that?
