If you’ve noticed that photographers often return to the same locations for a professional headshots, there’s good reason for it. It means its a great location and the know it well. They will already have sussed out the best spots with the best lighting and know exactly where to position you for a flattering portrait.

If I turn up to a location that I have never shot at before I always give myself extra time to look around before we start shooting.
